South Florida: the Ultra Music Festival is this weekend in Miami. If you’re visiting the area, for the first time ever, they moved the festival to an expensive area called Virginia Key that is only accessible by a bridge or ferry. This means that parking and traffic are going to be a nightmare. Getting to Miami Ultra Festival

Ultra Music Festival will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, 3/29/19 and run through Sunday, 3/31/19.

Due to the new location, getting to the Ultra Music Festival will be a little challenging this year. Our South Florida DUI attorneys recommend that you call a car service or have a designated driver (DD). Otherwise, you may find yourself stopped and facing criminal drunk or impaired driving charges.

There will be no parking available on Virginia Key. You can expect the police to be present at the transportation hubs available for the event. If you’re the DD (good for you), then here’s what you need to know about your transportation options for this Miami music festival here.

Tips for Miami Music Festival

Stay Hydrated

Non-stop partying and the heat here in Miami, FL can lead to dehydration. Don’t get overheated; stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. They will have water and sports drinks available for purchase at the Ultra Music Festival.

ZERO Tolerance Drug Policy

The possession, sale and/or use of any illegal or illicit drugs at Ultra Music Festival has a zero-tolerance policy anywhere inside or outside the Ultra Music Festival. Keep in mind there will also be undercover police officers in place to enforce drug violations. Organizers have also implemented a “turn in, no questions asked” any illegal or illicit drugs and/or substance policy for as you enter the music festival. They are also asking of the general public to be proactive and report any drugs or substances.

Don’t Bring

In addition to Ultra Music Festival’s zero-tolerance drug policy. They also won’t allow your group entry if you bring any of these items:

    • Illegal or illicit substances, drugs, or drug paraphernalia
    • Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, pocket knives and self-defense sprays
    • Outside food or beverage including alcohol
    • Coolers, bottles, cans, or flasks
    • Backpacks, purses, or bags allowed except bags made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear PVC not exceeding 13”x17”
